Armenian nation belongs to big European Race group, the branch of South European, within this group - to the branch of Balkan-Caucasian race, within which - to Armenoid type, distinguished by crimpy or straight dark hair of different casts, comparatively dark complexion, and wide range of colors of eyes (from black and hazel to light grey and blue) and definite pelage, with a little salient cheekbones, protuberant, thin nose and lips of average thickness.

The population of Armenia is approximately 3305.000 people, including the following ethnic groups: Armenians (94%), Russians, Ukrainians, Yezdis, Kurds, Greeks, Assyrians, Jews, Ouds and others (6%).

Outside Armenia Armenians live in more than 60 countries of the world - in the US, France, Greece, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Spain, Lebanon, Iran, Turkey and many others.
